Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Innisfree House at the age of 88.
Beloved wife of Nelson Hofer.
Loving mother of Janyce Reid and the late Ken Reid.
Will be missed by her step-children Anne Hofer, Mike Hofer (Sima), Peter Hofer (Sharon) and Maggie Gaus (Ken).
Survived by her daughter-in-law Florence and her cherished grandchildren Nicole and Kyle.
Dear sister of Yvonne Boland (Gerry).
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her first husband Allan Reid and her brothers; Jack, Robert, Don, David and Fr. William LaFlamme.
Jeanette’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi RC Church, 49 Blueridge Avenue, Kitchener, on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the Knights of Columbus, 145 Dearborn Place, Waterloo. Cremation has taken place.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Innisfree House would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
