Peacefully at Kilean Lodge with family by her side, we sadly announce the passing of Ila just 2 days after celebrating her 95th birthday. She is now reunited with her loving husband Walter, brother Charles Jacobs, sister Treva Travis and grandson Shane Mills. Ila was loved, will be missed by sons Douglas (Sharon), Larry (Pat) and daughter Marlene Mills, grandchildren Dougie, Lisa, Dani, Tami, Jamie, Brandon, plus 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Ila was born and raised on a farm near Smithville. In 1940 she married Walter Norris, moved to Hamilton they built a home and raised a family. Ila stayed in that home for over 70 years. She also worked at Loblaws for 30 years. Ila was a great cook and all the family looked forward to her delicious family dinners, special birthday cakes and piles of Xmas cookies. It was tradition. “ Rest in Peace Mom “- You deserve it. We would also like to thank the staff at Kilean Lodge for the care and compassion shown to our mother during her stay. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Donald V.
