Obituary for
Glendon Charles Murphy
Murphy, Glendon Charles
On May 15, 2019 Perth lost our bright and beautiful little man. Glendon Charles Murphy died peacefully on Wednesday morning, his radiant heart weakened from complications of pneumonia. Glendon’s brief and rich life was a call to tenderness, celebration and presence. With his infectious laughter, Glendon reminded us to rejoice in the beauty of every single day. The delight of a bath or a toboggan ride, the anticipation of snacks he loved, the sound of the wind, a cherished friend’s voice, or a song from his favourite band Splash’nBoots. Glendon taught us so much about love, resilience and what it means to be human. He showed us the importance of being together and of loving each other. Glendon will be deeply missed by his unendingly supportive family of caregivers and pals at Brady House and Club 21 ,his honorary family Ray, Maggie, Val, Taes and Erica, his mom Nancy, step-dad Jeff and siblings Madison, Jeffery and Daniel, as well as countless others in our community who were lucky enough to be touched by Glendon’s precious spirit. Glendon was a dedicated student at Jean Vanier School , Smiths Falls High School and especially Stewart School where he enjoyed many wonderful years surrounded by beloved teachers, caregivers and friends Thank you to everyone who helped to make Glendon’s life so beautiful and happy. Friends and family will gather at the Blair and Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St W., Perth on Monday May 27th, 2019. A Memorial will be held at 1 P.M. followed by a reception and celebration of his life until 3:00 P.M. Those wishing are asked to consider memorial donations to the Lanark Community programs -Club 21:00.
