Passed away peacefully on May 2, 2019, at the age of 80, with his loving wife of 61 years by his side. Pre-deceased by his daughter Gylene, survived by wife Pierrette, son Jean Claude (Donna Jeffery), grandchildren Marc Barabe (Alexandra Barabe), Luc Barabe, Mary Barabe, Nathan Pappas-Barabe and Nikolas Pappas-Barabe. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Gilles life on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Elliot Lake. The family would like to thank the 3rd floor nurses and staff at the St. Joseph’s General Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. And, a special thank you to Dr. Andrew Purzner. Memorial contributions to the Elliot Lake Palliative Care Program would be most appreciated.
