Obituary of Gerry Bos
February 13, 1928 to May 15, 2019
Gerrit “Gerry” Bos of Aylmer, Ontario passed away peacefully at Sakura House Hospice within view of corn fields and bird feeders. He was blessed with more than 91 years of life. One of his greatest joys was walking along the tree-lined streets and paths in the Aylmer area. We are thankful for the Aylmer CRC and Aylmer community for your care. Born in Opperdoes, The Netherlands, son of the late Klaas and Trijntje (Vijn) Bos. Beloved husband of the late Theodora “Dorothy” Bos (2012). Dear father of Sharon and Peter Krygsman of Guelph, Clarence Bos of Peterborough, and Ingrid Bos of Aylmer. Loving Opa of Jeremy, Sarah, Lisa and Ruth Ann. Gerry was the oldest of 11 and is survived by Annie Bos of Waterloo, Grace (Tom) Koopman of St. Thomas, John (Coby) Bos of Taber and Margarethe (Steve) Uyesugi of Smithers and predeceased by Willie (John) Schenk of Wyoming, Ralph Bos of Grimsby, Sylvia (John) Blok of Listowel, Dorothy (Bill) Weiland of Wyoming, Jack (Nova) Bos of London and Tinie (Henry) Oosterhof of Vineland. Survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Also survived by a number of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews in The Netherlands.
Friends and family are invited to attend visitation at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday, May 17 from 6 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be in the chapel at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Saturday, May 18, beginning 11:30 a.m. Family burial at the Aylmer Cemetery to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gerry’s memory can be made to Immanuel Christian School, Aylmer.
