Gerald Benoit passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Tuesday, April 30th, 2019 at the age of 68.
Born in Newcastle he was the son of William and Bernice (Bourgeois) Benoit.
Gerald lived in Bellefond.
He worked at Heath Steele Mines for over 20 years and kept busy doing multiple jobs until retirement.
He loved to play Bingo, go to the Legion and listen to music at Ritchie Wharf.
He is survived by 2 daughters Susan (James) Dunn of Miramichi and Tammy (Colin) Lynch of Taintville, 1 sister Elaine (John) Hathaway of Dartmouth, N.S., 3 brothers, Danny of Bellefond, Charles ofOntario,and Chris, 6 grandchildren,and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parent’s he was predeceased by a sister Barbara Mazerolle and infant brother Philip.
The Family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, 102 Pleasant Street, Miramichi, NB, on Friday, May 3rd, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 11:00 am from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, 102 Pleasant Street, Miramichi, NB, with Pastor Kurt Parks officiating.
Burial will take place at a later date.
