Georges Chartrand
Passed away surrounded by his loving family, on Monday May 27, 2019 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 76 years. He is survived by his wife Lorraine (née Rivest), his children Francine O’Donnell (Stéphane Lapierre) of Porcupine, Angèle Chartrand-Banks (Shaun) of Timmins and Marc Chartrand (Mona) of Timmins, his grandchildren Tom O’Donnell, Austin O’Donnell, Jade O’Donnell, Ryan Banks, Taylor Banks, Ashley Lefebvre (Dylan Grant), Patrick Aubertin and Amy-Lynn Aubertin; his brothers and sisters Georgette Raymond (Robert), Colette Landmann (Tom), Germain Chartrand (Late Pauline St-Amour), Hélène Chartrand (daughter Carole Cormier), Céline Lilko (Eddy) and Nicole Chartrand (John Pankiw) and also by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Contrant and Marie-Louise Chartrand and by his sister Pierrette Steinbrunner (Peter). George worked in construction as a contractor for over 40 years. He was the owner of F.A.M. Construction. He worked hard his whole life to provide for his family. He was a great husband, father and grandfather. He loved the outdoors, loved to garden, fish, hunt and spending time at the cottage. He was loved by all who knew him. He will be sadly missed. Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11am at St-Joseph Church. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME. Remembrance donations to the LiddyBug Fund (cheque payable to Tyler Allard) would be greatly appreciated
