REID, Elizabeth (Beth) Mary-
Elizabeth Mary Reid (Youmans) died peacefully at home on Saturday May 11th, 2019 surrounded by family after a courageous 3 ½ year battle with cancer. The daughter of the late Gerald and Betty Youmans, Elizabeth in her 72nd year is survived by her husband Gordon Reid of 54 years, mother of Victor (Ann-Marie) of Marmora, Andy (Jo) of Marmora, Allan (Sherri) of Havelock, and Mellissa (Dave) also of Marmora. Loved by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sister of the late Lee Youmans, she is survived by Colin (Sandy), Mark (Sally), Gord (Ann), Mike (Janet), Shelia (Paul), Kathleen (Dave), Jennifer (Wayne).
Elizabeth was a long-time supporter of the Royal Canadian Legion Marmora branch. There she enjoyed Monday night Jam sessions hosted by her brother Gord. If someone didn’t know the words of any old country song, she was sure to provide them in short order. She had a passion for family history and spent many years researching ancestral descendants.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to QUINTE CREMATION & BURIAL SERVICES LTD. 205 N. Front St. Belleville (613-962-7900). In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Kingston or Belleville General Hospital Oncology Department’s in Elizabeth’s name would be appreciated.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday May 25th from 1-4pm at Victor & Ann-Marie’s.
