Evertje “Effie” Kuiper of R.R. #3 Chesley, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on the Lord’s Day, May 26, 2019 in her 98th year.
Loving mother of Case (Aris) of Grimsby, Bertha (Mike) Piotto of Guelph, John Kuiper of Waterloo and David (Heather) of R.R. #3 Chesley. Effie will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Karen (Nat), Kenny (Chelsea), Jackie (Terry), Jeremy (Roxanne), Evelyn (Jett), Benjamin, Casey, Carolyn (Joseph), Rebecca (Wander), Everdena (Arno), Margaret, David (Sarah) as well as her great-grandchildren Kenneth, Savanah, Maverick, Amelia, Aaron, Owen, Keith, Daniel, Julia, Jenna, Calvin, Angela, Meleah, Daniel, Matthew, James and Nathan. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Bertha Kraayenhof of Hamilton, Drien (John) Winkels of Chesley, Jenny (Hank) Bouman of Cambridge and sisters-in-law Jacoba Schuit of Grimsby and Jansje Schuit of St. George. Effie was predeceased by her husband Cornelis (1958), infant siblings Henderientje and Dirk, brothers Gerrit (Grace) Schuit, Jacob (Ollie) Schuit, John Schuit, George Schuit, brothers-in-law Hank Kraayenhof and her parents Guert and Bertha (Van den Bergh) Schuit.
Visitation will be held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley on Wednesday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. A family worship service will be held at Ebenezer Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland, Chesley on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Tapleytown Cemetery, Stoney Creek.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Ebenezer Free Presbyterian Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
