Edwin Gilbert Stach December 27 1928 May 13 2019 (age 90)

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Edwin Gilbert Stach of West Kelowna at 90 years of age.
Ed was born in Vanguard, Saskatchewan to Edwin and Magdalena Stach. He met and married his wife Myrtle of 71 years in Swift Current, Saskatchewan on May 22, 1947.
He worked on a paving crew in the Kelowna and Rock Creek areas in the early years of their marriage. The construction industry was his main source of income for many years in the Kelowna and Calgary areas. He was a very accomplished artisan with many fine homes and buildings to his credit.
Ed was a kind and generous man who was deeply spiritual, and he loved sharing his passion for the scriptures with everyone he met. Family and friends enjoyed spending time with him in the ministry. He was known as “Grandpa” by many younger people who loved him very much. He loved fishing and hunting and spending time in the great outdoors.
He came from a large family, many of whom have predeceased him. He is survived by his loving wife, Myrtle, daughter, Shirley Toews of West Kelowna, son, Dale (Kim) Stach of West Kelowna and daughter, Sheila Waldo of Victoria, BC, as well as a great many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will mourn his passing.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Okanagan Assembly Centre of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the Kingdom Hall, 1424 Mission Road, Vernon, BC, Saturday, June 1 at 2:00pm. The service will be video conferenced to several other Kingdom Halls. For information on these, please call 250-878-6588.
