Crandall, 92, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton
Hospital on Thursday, May 2,
2019.
Born in
River Glade, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Mabel (Tobin)
Kinnear.
Doris was a
former employee of Cloggs Ltd. and retired manager of Bowrings with 15
years’ service. She was a member of First Baptist Church
Moncton; member and 1st President of the W.M.S.
Evelyn Eaton Group; member of the Idle Hour Group; former Sunday
School teacher; Dominion Life Member of the UBWMU; she was a past and
founding President of the UOA Moncton Chapter; member and past
President of the Moncton Business & Professional
Women’s Club. Doris enjoyed reading and most recently took
up “adult coloring”.
Doris will
be sadly missed by her daughter, Karen Crandall-Stroud of Moncton;
grandchildren Victoria Stroud-Arsenault (Andrew) and Adam Stroud;
great grandson, Anthem Arsenault; as well as several nieces and
nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate
family.
In addition
to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Nelson L. Crandall
(2005); son, John (2019); daughter-in-law, Marlene; son-in-law, Glenn
Stroud; sisters, Ruth and Winnifred and brother,
Allan.
A Service to
celebrate and honour Doris’ life will be held at First
Baptist Church Moncton. 157 Queen St., on. Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at
11:00 am, with Rev. Sandy Sutherland officiating. Reception following
the service. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial
Gardens.
In memory of
Doris, donations to the United Ostomy Association or First Baptist
