Obituary of Doreen Simpson
Agnes Doreen Simpson (née Currie) of Culross Township, passed away at Wingham & District Hospital, on Wednesday, May 15th, 2019 in her 90th year.
Beloved wife of the late Douglas Simpson (2014).
Loving mother of Anne and Bob Gowland of Culross Township, Jack and Christine Simpson of Toronto and David and Karen Simpson of Oakville.
Missed by her precious grandchildren, Daniel, David and Dana Gowland and Jonah and Kyle Simpson.
Fondly remembered by her sisters, Jessie McGee, Barbara Gibson and Marjorie Falconer, sisters-in-law Helen Currie and Elsie Simpson and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Bert and Nellie (née Crozier) Currie, son Currie Simpson, grandson Ethan Simpson, brother Jack Currie and in-laws George McGee, Arthur Simpson, Murdean Simpson, Mary Henderson (Jim) and Hugh Simpson (Mary).
Visitation will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Monday, May 20th, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., where the funeral service to celebrate Doreen’s life will take place on Tuesday, May 21st, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Harvey Osborne officiating.
Interment Culross-Teeswater Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
