1931-2019
It is with sadness that the family of Donald Hannah announces
his death at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Thursday, May 2nd,
2019, at the age of 87. Born in Saint John, NB, on August
17th, 1931, he was the husband of Jeanie Hannah of Burton,
NB.
In addition to his wife, Jeanie, Don leaves behind his
daughters, Kimberley Smith (Glenn), Pam Munn (Mitch Sanscartier), and
Heather Sheers (Troy); grandchildren, Cassie, Zach, Noah, Jacob, Max,
and Peyton; great grandson, Weber; daughter, Lynn Dee
MacGregor and her children, Christopher and Jennifer; sisters, Marion
Cosman and Ruth-Ann Gallant (Leo). Don was predeceased by his parents,
Walter and Mary (Gaudet) Hannah; first wife, Mona; son, Steve; sister,
Lois.
Don was a proud Korean War veteran who served with the
Princess Patricias. Following his retirement from the military Don was
self employed as a car dealer. He will be deeply missed by his large
family and many friends.
Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Monday,
May 6th, 2019 from 6-8 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #93 will
hold a tribute service at 5:45 pm. A private family service and
interment in Oromocto Pioneer Gardens will take place at a later date.
For those who wish, donations in Don’s memory can be made to the
Oromocto SPCA or a charity of the donor’s choice.
