Probert (Dunford) Deborah Anne (Debbie) 1955-2019 Age 64 Enfield NS
Debbie was guided home to heaven on May 23, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Oldham, she was the eldest daughter of H Everett & Anna Dunford (McKenna). Debbie was employed with Canada Post until her retirement in 2013. She most loved spending time at their cottage on Lake Charlotte with friends and family, fishing, feeding her bunnies or just simply relaxing with a good book while she watched her humming birds feed. She also enjoyed playing darts weekly at the Bedford Legion with her “friendship league”. Debbie is survived by her partner Hart MacDonnell the love of her life, sons Steven (Dartmouth), Nick MacDonnell (Bobbi) Enfield, Daughters Wanda Foley (Glenn) Stewiacke, Tracy MacDonnell (Enfield). Brothers Wade (Donna) Fall River, John (Diana) Oldham, Peter Nickerson Enfield, Sister Paula (Terry Lively) Lantz. Special sisters of the heart Rita Buchanon (Ed) Ontario, Eva Probert (Mike) Enfield and Ellen Hnatiuk Enfield. Grandchildren Damien, Mason, Tyler (MacDonnell) Enfield, Kirkland (Foley) Enfield and the apple of her eye Princess Layla (pookie/Pumpkin) (MacDonnell) Stewiacke. Also several Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Debbie was Predeceased by her son Brian Probert, parents Everett and Anna Dunford, Brothers Gordon and Eldon, sisters Leah Nickerson, Linda Jean & Mary Ruby (in infancy). Maternal grandparents John & Annie McKenna, paternal grandparents Hilliard & Ruby Dunford.
Cremation has taken place under the care of the Dartmouth Funeral Home. Funeral service & celebration of life will be Friday May 31, 2019 at St. Bernard’s R.C.Church in Enfield NS at 2:00 pm Interment will take place in the church cemetery directly after the service, with reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #133 in Enfield NS.
Heartfelt thanks to the staff of the 4th floor ICU Unit at the Dartmouth General Hospital NS for their superior care and compassion. Donations may be made to the Youth Darts association of NS, Cystic Fibrosis Canada or the Caring and sharing foodbank Enfield
