David Arthur Charles “Davie”
Hines – age 48, of Kentville, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 in
the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, with his family by his side.
Born May 26, 1970 in Kentville, he was a son of Bessie (Kane) Crouse,
Kentville and David Hines Sr. (Sylvia Campbell), Gibson Woods. He was
previously employed with Richie’s Pizza, Halls Harbour
Lobster Pound, O.H. Armstrong, Live to Serve and Bin Sanitized. He is
survived by his wife, Lauralee (Veinotte); sons, Nelson and his son,
George Dorey, Mark, Quentin, Austin and Noah; brother, Andrew
(Teresa); niece, Emma, nephew, Richard; great nephew, Westin; numerous
cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family. He was predeceased by his
father, Garnet Crouse; grandparents, Roy Hines Sr., Lillian Hines,
Arthur and Jessie Kane; uncle, Roy Hines Jr.; aunt, Cathy DeWolf and
her son, Jason. Visitation will be held
from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2019 in the White Family Funeral
Home, Kentville where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on
Monday, May 20, 2019. A reception will follow in the Meadowview
Community Centre. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian
Cancer Society or Carey Me (Supporting Palliative Care in the Home).
The family would like to thank Dr. Lori Burgess, the palliative care
team, Carey-Me and the emergency department staff at the Valley
Regional Hospital. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the
White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
