Obituary of Clifford Marvin Wells
September 10, 1942 – March 26, 2019
Royal Canadian Air Force Veteran
Member of Royal Canadian Legion # 178
Surrounded by his loving family, Cliff passed away at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville at the age of 76.
He is now reunited with his beloved wife Marilyn. His children, daughter Lisa (Brandon) Smith of Courtice and son Darren (Pauline) of Oshawa will miss him profoundly. Taylor and Hailey Smith will forever miss their Papa. Cliff will also be missed by his sisters; Mona Roydhouse of Peers, AB, Linda Wells of Red Deer, AB, Diane (Ewald) Arndt of Pinedale Estate in Yellowhead County, AB, Sherry (Norman) Kalk of Cherihill AB and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, George and Evelyn Wells, brothers, John and Ron Wells, sister, Karen Shantz, niece, Connie Dixon, nephew Edward Shantz, brother-in-law, Robert Roydhouse. Our memories of Cliff: big laughter, crazy jokes, positive attitude, loving kindness, and his zest for life has left us with wonderful memories.
A Celebration of Cliff’s Life will take place at the ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION BRANCH #178, 109 King St. E., Bowmanville, on Sunday June 2nd, from 12 – 5 pm. Arrangements entrusted to NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville, ON. Memorial donations may be made to Durham Region Cancer Centre or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
