In Loving Memory of
Claude “Jojo” Robillard
December 22, 1942 – May 18, 2019
As we all know, there were many things Claude couldn’t do. He couldn’t speak, he couldn’t walk, he couldn’t cry, couldn’t recognize those who loved him. Different doesn’t mean less. But that’s not what we saw, we saw a loved son, brother and uncle. I’m sure when pepere and memere realized Claude wouldn’t have the same type of life as the other siblings, it broke their hearts. Claude spent a short 6 years at home with his parents and a few siblings. He was transferred to Smith Falls when pepere and memere couldn’t care for him any longer as they were advancing in age. He was moved to South Centennial Manor 20 years ago when the group home closed in Smith Falls. He then had regular visits from his siblings. He remained strong and healthy for many years and outlived most of siblings.
Left to mourn his death are his sisters Anita Lamontagne and Pauline Lewis and sisters in-law Lucille (G) Robillard and Lucille (J-G) Robillard, Gerry Cyr, along with 54 nieces and nephews and extended families. Predeceased by his loving parents Isidore and Marie-Louise, his siblings Laurentia (Oscar, Fabien) Leopold (Lucienne), Thérèse, Marguerite, Conrad (Jacqueline), Jacques, Jean-Guy. His brother in-law Albert Lamontagne and Ken Lewis and little sister Lucille.
We would like to thanks the staff at South Centennial Manor for all their dedication and love towards Claude “Jojo” for the past 20 years of his life. You were his FAMILY. Love isn’t only shared in words, love is much deeper than words. Jojo surely touched may hearts. Rest in peace dear pure soul, may you spread your wings, and be free of your disabilities, run free in the pastures of heaven and use your preserved voice to tell your family how much you love them. Watch over us. We seldom get the chance to share just how much a person means to us when they are alive and If we could do one thing for Claude “Jojo” is to treat each other with kindness and acceptance. Look at each other through the eyes of a pure soul like he was.
