Catherine “Kay” Williams (nee Fitzgerald) 76 – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our loving devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, on May 25th, 2019. She passed peacefully away in the early afternoon surrounded by her beloved family.
Kay was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, James “Jim” Williams, siblings Noreen Ledrew, Ronald and Peter Fitzgerald, parents Patrick and Catherine Fitzgerald, and parents-in-law Ralph and Mae Williams.
Left with fond and loving memories sons Jim Williams, Don Williams (Wanda), daughter Jennifer Quilty (Scott), grandchildren, Josh and Matthew Williams, Jessica and Christopher (Keri) Williams, Alex, Sarah, and Marybeth Quilty and great-grandchildren Kallum and Hailey Williams.
Also leaving to mourn siblings Mary Robare (Theodore – deceased), Geraldine “Jill” Auger, Patricia “Tish” Skinner (Leonard), Patrick (Linda) Fitzgerald, James (Bun) Fitzgerald, Edward (Sharon) Fitzgerald , Paul (Donna) Fitzgerald, Elizabeth Rintamaki (Craig), Julie Guindon (Mike), sister-in-law Barb Fitzgerald, members of the Williams family, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Special thanks to the nurses and staff of the Dialysis Unit at Mount Pearl Square, Eastern Health Paramedics, and the nurses and staff of the Coronary Care Unit at HSC, especially Nada, Kim, Alice and Deanne.
Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Monday May 27th from 10am-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist on Tuesday, May 28th at 9:30am. Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations in Kay’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association.
