Crowder, Caroline “Carol” Ardath (December 31, 1931)
Carol Crowder of Port Carling passed away in her 88th year peacefully, surrounded by family, at Hospice Huntsville on May 24, 2019.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Vernon. She is also survived by her two children, Cathy (Garry) Duck and Jeff (Debbie) Crowder. Carol was the proud grandmother of Kendra, Robbie (Shannon), Bree and Emily, and great grandmother of Chloe. Carol will be missed by numerous other family members and friends. A special thank you to nephew, Steve Mahon, for his attentive care.
Carol was born and raised in Port Carling. She was an active member of the Port Carling Curling Club for many years and was best known for her love of baking sweets. No one made butter tarts or lemon delight quite like Carol. Her pride and joy was her family, whom she shared her wonderful sense of humour with. She had a soft spot for celebrations, and was passionate, caring, and a dedicated member of St. James Anglican Church.
Carol’s family would like to thank the nurses and personal support workers who cared for Carol in her home, and Hospice Huntsville for their tireless and unparalleled kindness during this difficult time.
A funeral service will be held June 9, 2019 at 1:00pm at St. James Anglican Church in Port Carling, followed by a reception at the Port Carling Public Library.
In memory of Carol, donations can be made to St. James Anglican Church or to Andy’s House (Hospice Muskoka).
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Caroline Ardath Fairhall Crowder December 31 1931 May 24 2019 (age 87)..
