Willem Adrianus Cozyn, age 82, of Stratford passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Stratford General Hospital on May 10, 2019. Born in Holland, August 9, 1936, son of the late Martinus and Wilhelmina (Goris) Cozyn. Bill immigrated to Canada with his family in 1951. He had a successful career in construction and industrial manufacturing before co-founding Cozyns Garden Gallery with his wife Jose in 1982. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Stratford.
Beloved husband of the late Jose (Vereecke) who predeceased him February 15, 2016. Proud and supportive father of Martin Cozyn (Kathy) of Denver, Colorado and Linda Cozyn of Stratford. Wonderful Opa of Aaron, Ashley (Steven), Adam, Shannon and Nicole and great Opa of Carter and Emerson-Rose. Dear brother of Lia Holloway of Burlington. Also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Arthur (Muriel) Vereecke of Wiarton, Susan (Bill) Veitch of London and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Wednesday, May 15, from 5-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. A reception will be held at the funeral home following the interment at Avondale Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Stratford Perth Rotary Hospice Foundation or the Alzheimer Society through the funeral home. 519.271.7411
