Barbara’s Obituary
NEW GLASGOW – Barbara Annette “Barb” (Hatfield) Borden, 65, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at home.
Born and raised in Westville, she was a daughter of the late Grace Olive Hatfield. She was a hardworking mom who lovingly provided for her family. Barb was employed with KFC for over 20 years, later, working at Tim Hortons, Sobeys, ICT, Mings and Laura Secord. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, going for drive;s and her Tim Hortons coffee. Most important to Barb was spending quality time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her fur baby, Princess was never far from her side. It is with heavy hearts her family says “good-bye”, in faith, for now, until they are reunited with Barb in her heavenly home.
Surviving are her daughters, Jo-Anne Borden; Krysta (Ray); son, Wayne Borden; grandchildren, Janika (Leah), Jalessa (Dylan), Jay (Brandi), Johnathan (Chloe), Jizelle, Melita, Jaren, Tyrone and Kassy; great grandchildren, Brielle, Clarissa, Ariella and Karlee; six sisters; two brothers; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her mother, she was predeceased by granddaughter, Justina.
In honour of Barb’s wishes, he family will celebrate privately.
Barb’s family wish to thank everyone who offered prayers, called, sent messages and visited throughout her journey.
