Hurlburt, Avery Ernest, 88 of Carleton, Yarmouth County, NS, passed away unexpectedly at home on May 21st,2019. Born October 6th,1930 in Carleton, he was a son to the late Maynard and Charlotte (Allen) Hurlburt. Avery’s passions were his love for the Lord, music, hunting, fishing, painting and the outdoors. His children, grandchildren and great grandchild were his pride and joy. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Gloria (Cunningham); daughter Kelly (Al) Jacquard, Yarmouth; grandchildren Jason (Elaina) Armstrong, Bell Neck; Nicholas Broderick; Ashley Hurlburt; Brittainy Hurlburt all of Halifax; great grand daughter Lauren Armstrong, Bell Neck; brother Robert Lee Hurlburt (Sylvia Babineau), Ontario; sister Pearl Hamilton (Gerald), Carleton. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son Shawn Avery Hurlburt; siblings Marion Manser; Doran Hurlburt; Wilma Richardson and Victor Hurlburt. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 25 at 10 am. from the Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Cunningham officiating. Interment to follow in the Carleton Cemetery. Family flowers only.
