1943-2019
Aloma Jean Evelina Pelkey of Perth-Andover, NB, passed away at the Dr.
Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on May 18, 2019.
Aloma was born in Currie Road on August 20, 1943. She was the
daughter of the late Phyllis Abell (maiden name Swazey). Aloma leaves
behind her son Gerald Pelkey of Fredericton, NB; four grandchildren,
Cameron Pelkey, Matthew Pelkey, Joshua Pelkey, and Lauren Pelkey; her
daughter-in-law, Merridy Pelkey of Carlingford, NB; as well as several
nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her sons
Thomas Pelkey, Ian Pelkey and a pre-born son (between Thomas and
Ian).
Aloma worked many years as a Registered Nursing Assistant. She had a
very big heart and enjoyed her work helping people. She was a cancer
survivor.
Resting at Calvary Tabernacle, Perth-Andover, NB, with visitation on
Wednesday from 6-8 pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May
23, 2019 at 2 pm at Calvary Tabernacle. Rev. David Ferrell
officiating. Refreshments will be provided in the downstairs
auditorium immediately following the service, with the internment at
the Sunset Cemetery in California Settlement, NB, thereafter at 4:30
PM.
Flowers are appreciated and alternatively for those who wish,
remembrances by way of a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society are
also appreciated by the family.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover,
NB.
