Obituary of Al Leeson
Leeson, Alexander (Al)
1930-2019
Peacefully, with his family by his side, Al Leeson, age 89, passed away May 4, 2019 at Kingston General Hospital. Dad was born in Winnipeg on January 25, 1930.
He was pre-deceased by his loving wife Verna, mother Kay Leeson, and brother Wilf.
He is survived by his devoted children Wendy Spearman (Bob), David Leeson (Diane) and Kathy Patterson (Don). He was a proud Grandpa to Gregory (Cortney); Sophie, Sébastien, Isabelle and Jasmine; Anna and Andrew; and a delighted Great-Grandpa to Hannah.
Dad retired from Air Canada at a young age and enjoyed travelling extensively. In his later years, he was involved with the Pionairs, an Air Canada retirement group. Mom and Dad spent many winters in California, one of their favourite destinations. After moving from Winnipeg, Dad lived in Montreal, Guelph and Kingston.
Our deepest appreciation goes to the amazing staff at Conservatory Pond Retirement Home where Dad enjoyed the last few years of his life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the James Reid Funeral Home on Friday, May 10 from 3:00 pm until 5:30pm with words of remembrance at 3:30pm and refreshments to follow. Please enter through the rear of the Funeral Home.
On behalf of the Leeson family, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in honour of our father would be greatly appreciated.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Al
