Obituary of Allan Larivee
LARIVEE – Charles Allan “Al”
Life long North Bay resident Al Larivee died suddenly of a stroke on Friday May 10th, 2019, in his 85th year. For the past 61 years, he had been the devoted and loving husband of Dianne (Carmichael). The proud and caring father of Greg, and his wife Anne, of Toronto and Susan of North Bay. He will be sadly missed by his brother Terry, brother-in-law Steve Carmichael and his wife Laura also of North Bay and brother-in-law Barry Carmichael and his wife Mimi of Peterborough. His many nieces and nephews will miss him also. Al was predeceased by his sisters Donna Antler and Betty LeBouthillier. He started working with the ONR while a teenager, and retired in the early 1990’s, after 40 years of service. Al then began a second career in sales. He also will be remembered by many for the years he spent serving customers in the ticket office at Memorial Gardens, a job he thoroughly enjoyed. Al was always the life of a party and shared his exploits with many and never met a stranger. He loved to travel with Dianne and they shared numerous cruises, enjoying the sights of places like Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii and Europe. He was equally happy to spend time on Trout Lake at his cottage. Respecting Al’s wishes his body will be cremated. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. If you would like to honour his memory with a memorial donation, please consider Special Olympics or Community Living. Online condolences at www.martynfh.com.
