Aimé Filion
Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Aimé Filion le mardi 7 mai 2019 à l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner à l’âge de 93 ans et 11 mois. Il fut membre des Chevaliers de Colomb et a siégé pendant plusieurs années comme conseiller municipal à Moonbeam. Il aimait jouer aux fers à cheval, aux rondelles et au cribbage, ainsi que patenter dans son garage et travailler sur son moulin à scie. Il aimait la pêche, la chasse et passer du temps au chalet, mais surtout, il adorait son épouse Jeannette et tous les membres de sa grande famille.
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Jeannette; ses enfants : Gaëtan (Diane), André (Bibiane), Françoise Beaulieu (Clément), Louisette Albert (René), Gérald (Nicole), Yvon (Anna), Yves (Chantale), Lise Filion (Gaston Mercier), et Claire Filion-Gibson (Douglas); ses 22 petits-enfants : Julie (Jason), Bruno (Vicky), Mario (Caroline), Roxane (Gary), Josée (Marc), Kevin (Josée), Tanya (Chris), Mona (Stéphane), Monic (Benoit), Pascal (Crystal), Jason (Julie), Mandy, Adam (Julie), Danika, Randy, Eric, Mikel, Patrice, Evann, Amy Lea (Mathieu), Jessica (Darryl), et Joey (Amelie); et ses 25 arrière-petits-enfants : Isabelle, Alex, Elle, Chanelle, Rosalie, Coralie, Deric, Marie-Soleil, Eric, Amanda, Dominic, Danielle, Daxon, Kynlee, Tanner, Chelsea, Jasmine, Amber, Chelsea, Alexa, Damien, Kolton, Ryker, Mélia, et un à venir. Il laisse aussi dans le deuil quatre sœurs : Cécile Lepage, Fernande Albert, Thérèse Blouin et Claudette Filion; et trois frères : Lionel, Rhéal et Rosaire Filion. Il fut prédécédé par une arrière-petite-fille, Rebecca; et six frères : Rosaire, René, Paulo, Aurèle, Léon, et Roland.
Aimé Filion reposera au Centre Communautaire de Moonbeam le vendredi 10 mai de 14h à 16h et 19h à 21h. La célébration eucharistique aura lieu le samedi 11 mai à 10h30 en l’église Nativité-de-Marie avec le Père Fernand Villeneuve comme célébrant. L’inhumation suivra au Cimetière de Moonbeam. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner pour l’achat d’un tomodensitomètre. ©
We regret to announce the death of Aimé Filion on May 7, 2019 at the Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 93 years and 11 months. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was a councillor for many years for the municipality of Moonbeam. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, washers, and cribbage, as well as working in his garage and on his sawmill. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time at his cottage, but above all else, he loved his wife Jeannette and all the members of his large family.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Jeannette, his children: Gaëtan (Diane), André (Bibiane), Françoise Beaulieu (Clément), Louisette Albert (René), Gérald (Nicole), Yvon (Anna), Yves (Chantale), Lise Filion (Gaston Mercier), and Claire Filion-Gibson (Douglas); his 22 grand-children: Julie (Jason), Bruno (Vicky), Mario (Caroline), Roxane (Gary), Josée (Marc), Kevin (Josée), Tanya (Chris), Mona (Stéphane), Monic (Benoit), Pascal (Crystal), Jason (Julie), Mandy, Adam (Julie), Danika, Randy, Eric, Mikel, Patrice, Evann, Amy Lea (Mathieu), Jessica (Darryl), and Joey (Amelie); and his 25 great-grandchildren: Isabelle, Alex, Elle, Chanelle, Rosalie, Coralie, Deric, Marie-Soleil, Eric, Amanda, Dominic, Danielle, Daxon, Kynlee, Tanner, Chelsea, Jasmine, Amber, Chelsea, Alexa, Damien, Kolton, Ryker, Mélia, and one on the way. He also leaves four sisters: Cécile Lepage, Fernande Albert, Thérèse Blouin and Claudette Filion; and three brothers: Lionel, Rhéal and Rosaire Filion. He was predeceased by one great-granddaughter, Rebecca; and six brothers: Rosaire, René, Paulo, Aurèle, Léon, and Roland.
Aimé Filion will be resting at the Moonbeam Community Centre on Friday, May 10 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 11 at 10:30 a.m. at Nativité-de-Marie church with Father Fernand Villeneuve officiating. Burial will be held at the Moonbeam Cemetery. As expression of sympathy, donations to the Sensenbrenner Hospital CT Scan Fund would be greatly appreciated. ©
