Promoted to Glory on Saturday, May 4th, 2019, with family by her side, in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Major Nelson Gillespie (2005) and the late Ronald Hodgkinson (2016). Loving mother of Nelson Gillespie Jr. (Wendy). Cherished friend and step-mother of Ron Hodgkinson Jr. (Therese), Brenda Kaiser (Tom), David Hodgkinson, Kim Seabrook (Tim) and Patricia Hodgkinson. Dear Grandma Edie to Nicole, Lindsey, Christine, Amanda, Norman, Sequoia, Corey, Joshua, Murray and Jessica. Sadly missed by her sister Betty Fife (Richard) and sisters-in-law May Reid, Ellie Johnston and Eileen Olson, as well as by many dear nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at the SALVATION ARMY CITADEL, 555 Springbank Drive, London, on Wednesday, May 8th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. Major Dennis Skipper will officiate the service. Private interment at Woodland Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Edith are asked to consider The Salvation Army.
