Obituary for
Marshall Mithrush
With deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Marshall Rhyan Mithrush of Edmonton, who after a brief time with cancer died at the age of 68 years on May 1, 2019. Marshall will forever remain in the hearts of his loving wife, Liesma; children, Fawnda (Andrew), Raina (Luke), and Eli (Kaitlyn); grandson, Conan; brother, Henry (Lillian); sisters, Marge, Pauline, and Gloria (Wilf); as well as many nephews, nieces, and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, Nick and Nellie; brothers-in-law, Harry and Robert; and nephew, Kevin. He will be fondly remembered by many friends and colleagues in forestry at the City of Edmonton, the gardening community, and numerous ice-fishing pals.
Family and friends may pay respects on Tuesday, May 7 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Funeral Home, 9709 111 Avenue.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Park Memorial Chapel. All are welcome. Interment to follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made to the Marshall Mithrush Memorial Fund in support of ecological conservation, which will honour the legacy of Marshall’s work as an arborist, bird-lover, forager, and nature nut. Donations can be made through Edmonton Community Foundation [link to follow for online display].
