Agnes Whalen, an extraordinary, loving soul, passed away on April 30th, 2019. Surrounded by family in body and spirit, she crossed over to the waiting arms of family and friends already passed.
She is survived by her husband and best friend Samuel Whalen; children Jimmy (deceased); daughter Elizabeth (partner Reginald); sons Andrew (partner Chuck) and Brian (wife Jeanette). She is also survived by a wonderful family of brothers and sisters Marion Bailey, Kevin Burke (Rosemary), Billy Burke (Nancy), Edmund Burke (Laura), Ellen Quinlan (Patrick), Trudy Kenny (Ed) and Raymond Burke (Maria) as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren Victoria, Lauren, Hillary, Sydney and Evan and great-grandchildren Lucy, Bryce and Ellie will forever know her kindness and love.
There will be no viewing or funeral service. Instead the family will celebrate her life and the joy she brought to everyone she met. The celebration will be held at St Anne’s parish, conception Harbour. Marian Hall on Saturday May 4th from 2 pm-5:00 pm.
