Sue’s Obituary
She fought her battle with cancer with a positive attitude that was amazing. Sue was incredibly grateful for the love and support of her family and friends who battled beside her for 6 1/2 years. Her journey ended on May 15, 2019 with grace and dignity at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton. She was 56 years of age. Loving wife and best friend of Dean (who was also a reluctant “Antiquing Buddy”). Sue was an incredible mom, who will always be cherished for being selfless to fault, of Ryan (Martha), Bob (Sarah), Whitney Poland (Butch) and Reid (Kayla). Cherished “Grammy” to Hudson, Bryce, Ellie and Teddy who were her medicine. Beloved daughter of Matilda Toth and the late Joseph Toth. Loving daughter-in-law of Bill and Jane Morrison. Forever remembered by her sisters Agnes Bedard (Del) and Magda Toth. Sue will be dearly missed by her extended family and many dear friends. She worked for over 25 years at the grocery store in St. George. Sue was incredibly proud to be a part the St. George Community and was actively involved in St. George Minor Hockey (best Hockey Mom ever), St. George Women’s Institute and the Parks & Rec Committee. She was the Southern Regional Board Director for the Federated Women’s Institutes of Ontario. In her spare time she loved to golf and curl with friends.
Friends will be welcomed to share their memories with the Morrison Family at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #605, 9 Main Street North, St. George, Ontario, on Wednesday May 22, 2019 starting at 3 p.m. In accordance with Sue’s expressed wishes, cremation has already taken place. In Sue’s memory donations to either the Multiple Myeloma Foundation though the Juravinski Cancer Centre (hamiltonhealth.ca/jhccf-main/) or the 3 Wishes Project at St. Joseph’s Hospital (www.stjoesfoundation.ca/).
