Obituary of Marian MacKenzie
Marian Cecilia MacKenzie, age 73 of Campbell’s Road, Westville, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 10, 2019 at her residence.
Born in Granton, she was a daughter of the late George “Bert” MacKenzie and Bernice (Hughes) MacKenzie.
Marian was a Registered Nurse and had graduated from St. Martha’s School of Nursing. She worked as an O.R. Nurse at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow for many years before retiring. As a hobby, Marian would make small crafts which she would give to school children and others in the community.
Marian is survived by her son David, Trenton; grandson Jeremy, Westville; sisters, Esther Creed, Fox Brook, and Jessie MacKenzie, Westville; brothers, Roland (Mary), Westville, and Leslie, New Glasgow.
She was predeceased by sisters, Shirley Hughes, Karen Byrne, and Pat Fraser; brother Lloyd MacKenzie.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. There will be no visitation or funeral service by request. A private family grave side service will be held at a later date.
