Douglas
“Doug” Hayward, 86, passed away peacefully at Lakeview
Manor, Riverview, on Sunday, May 12, 2019 with his loving family at
his side.
Born in
Campbellton, he was the son of the late Mildred Brooks. Doug graduated
from UNB Fredericton with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was
awarded an Athlone Fellowship and obtained a Graduate Degree from
London School of Economics in London, England. Doug was a lifetime
member of Professional Engineers of New Brunswick and past President
of Fredericton Youth Hockey Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing
and woodworking.
Doug will be
sadly missed by his wife of 59 years, Vivian (Fearon) Hayward of
Moncton; daughter, Sara Kemp (Graeme) of Australia and sons, Michael
(Susan) of Oshawa, ON and Andrew (Nathalie Losier) of Quispamsis;
grandchildren, Alex, Erik, Owen, Ajay and Jaxon; niece, Bonnie and
nephews, Donald and Douglas.
In addition
to his mother, Mildred, he was predeceased by a brother,
Donald.
In honoring
Doug’s wishes, there will be no visitation hours or funeral
service. Interment will be in Campbellton Rural Cemetery, at a later
date.
Arrangements
under the professional care of Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain
Road, Moncton (858-1995).

Doug, donations to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be
