Derek J. Price
1965-2019
Derek Price of Rexton, NB passed
away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital on
Sunday, May 5, 2019 at the age of 54 years. Born in Rexton he was the
son of Germaine Price (LeBlanc) and the late Richard Price. Derek was
the owner/operator of Kent Auto Parts Ltd. for the past 26 years.
Derek enjoyed his work within the Auto parts industry and held many
positions over the years within NAPA Canada. He was a former member of
the Rexton Fire Dept., Rexton Snowmobile Club #35, and a former member
of the Rexton Town Council.
Survived by his mother,
Germaine of St. Louis; wife, Wanda (Agnew); son, Cody Robichaud (Megan
Flanagan) of Moncton; sisters, Christina Fitzgerald of St. Louis, Kim
Price (Carmen) of St. Louis, Julia Chapman (Geoff) of Ottawa; brother,
Rick Price (Elizabeth) of Florenceville; brother-in-law, Desmond
Warham of Jardinville; brothers-in-law, Paul Agnew (Late Sandra) of
Riverview, Glenn (Debbie) Agnew of Harcourt, Joey (Heather) Agnew of
Milford, NS; sister-in-law, Connie Agnew (late Ross); nieces and
nephews, Sebastien, Jehanne, Taylor, Katie, Brennan, Andrew, Chris,
Tracy, Trina, Jesse, Chelsey, Drew, Cleve, Tanner, Calder and Dylon,
also by several great nieces and nephews. Derek leaves his cherished
companion Buddy, who helped care for Derek over the last few years
while his health was failing.
In addition to his father he was predeceased by his sister,
Brenda Warham; infant brother, Alexander and his cherished four legged
companion Jake who was always in his heart.
Visitation will be held at Thompsons Funeral Home 33 Rue
Acadie, Richibucto on Wednesday May 8, 2019 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm
& 7:00pm – 9:00pm.
The funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Roman
Catholic Church, 12 School St. Rexton, NB on Thursday May 9, 2019 at
1:00pm with Father Raymond DesJardines officiating.
Donations in Derek’s memory made to the Dr. George’s L.
Dumont Hospital Dialysis unit or to the War Amps Canada at waramps.ca
would be appreciated by the family.
