William Armanda (Billy) Iannetti
Sydney Mines
It is with great sadness that we, the family of William (Billy) Iannetti, age 62, announce his peaceful passing, on Sunday, April 7, 2019, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer, and a stroke on April 7, 2019.
Born in Sydney Mines on August 8, 1956, he was the son of Mildred (Nelson) Iannetti and the late Armanda Iannetti.
Billy spent his life working out West as a long-time member of Local 92. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his son Trevor. He spent a lot of time with his special friend Rhonda Gardiner.
Billy is survived by his mother Mildred Iannetti (Brian Keeping), and his children Billy (Nicole), Tracy, and Trevor (Kerri). He also leaves behind his grandchildren Bryanna, Hannah, Amber, Nicholas, Kaleb, Jack and baby Beau, and his siblings Emanual (Dianne), Una (Joe), Amelia (Johnny), Glen (Ruth), and Frankie.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by his sister Barb, and twin grandsons Jason and Joshua.
The family would like to thank the kind and generous staff of the palliative care unit.
At Billy’s request, there will be no funeral. His family will receive visitors in J. M. Jobes Funeral Home on Thursday, April 11, 2019, from 2-4 p.m. Words of comfort may be forwarded to his family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
