Passed peacefully away at the St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Saturday, April 13th of 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his son Roger, parents Leo and Catherine Sears, brothers Bennett, Alister and sister Marie. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife and best friend Janet (Fowler), daughter Maxine (Hayward), sons Virden (Jackie) and Jamie (Denise). Grandsons Shawn (Jennifer), Roger, Jonathan (Heather), and Seven great-grandchildren. Brothers Leo (Beatrice), Donald (Sheila), Melvin (Jane) and Malcolm (Frances). Also, Brenda, Don, and the Fowler family. Special thanks to the paramedics and Paradise Fire Dept. for all of their help. Thanks to the doctors and nurses at the ICU of the Health Sciences Centre and St Clare’s. A special thanks to Dr. O’Brien for her kind and comforting words. Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 1045 Topsail Road on Monday, April 15th, 2019 from 2-9 P.M. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 16th, 2019, at Holy Innocents Church on Paradise Road at 10 A.M. No flowers by request.
