Rushton, Timothy “Rooster” Kenneth – 62, Bass River, formerly of Londonderry, has joined his wife, past family and friends who have gone before him. He was the son of the late Alton and Muriel (Cooke) Rushton of Londonderry. He loved spending time at the cottage with family and friends. He always had a great time watching his favorite old western movies. Tim was an avid sports enthusiast especially when it involved his family as participants. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family whenever he could. He was always there for his family and friends no matter the issue or occasion. He worked for many years at the Home Hardware Warehouse in Debert. Timmy is survived by his daughters, Vanessa (Nathan), Debert and Felicia (Alex), Elmsdale; his beloved dog, Toby; brother, Michael (Carol); sisters, Sharon (Alton) and Anna; sister-in-law, Debbie, Lee Ann (Clayton); brother-in-law, Russell (Shelley), mother-in-law, Lois and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Linda; brothers, Terry and Chris; nephew, Jody; brother-in-law, Dale and father-in-law, Ralph. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 8th from 1–2p.m. with a Celebration of Life service immediately following in Riverside United Church, Bass River with Rev. Florence Antle-Brison and Pastor Steve Adams officiating. Reception to follow in Bass River Fire Hall. Donations in Timmy’s memory may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation or charity of choice.
