Obituary of Susan Winnifred Woodworth
WOODWORTH , Susan Winnifred-age 71 of Stewiacke, passed away April 23, 2019 at home. Born in Stewiacke, she was a daughter of the late Milton and Ruth (Smith) McKillop.
Susan worked as a seamstress, bookkeeper and a baker. She enjoyed fishing, baking, sewing and reading. Susan was resourceful, compassionate, and determined. She will be remembered for sharp wit, contagious smile and bright blue eyes. She was a hard worker and through her determination, she was able to bring up “Sue’s boys” almost entirely on her own. Susan really looked forward to and enjoyed the cousin’s dinners.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Robert Werenka (Wanda Lee), Hilden; Troy Werenka (Jill Queripel), Stewiacke; Stacey Werenka (Susan Flabiano), Manitowaning, ON; and Trevor Werenka (Cindy), Hilden; grandchildren, Cameron, Chelsea, Christian, Brandon, Nikolaus, Jeff, Chandler, Connor, Michael, Amber and Miranda, Cullen and Tanner; sister, Earline (Robert) Taylor, Bible Hill; several nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her faithful canine companion, Charlie.
She was predeceased by her husband, Brian Woodworth and brother, Mark McKillop.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 12pm-1:45pm, followed by a funeral service at 2pm, Saturday April 27 all in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. Family and close friends will then gather for an interment service in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation.
