Obituary for
Sidney John Harris
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sidney John Harris announces his passing, with his family by his side, at the Central Newfoundland Health Care Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on Monday, April 22, 2019, age 70 years, of Hermitage.
Sid was a well-respected and loved teacher for many years. He was born in Great Harbour but spent most of his life in Gaultois. After retiring he moved to Hermitage.
He leaves to mourn his loving family: sister, Margaret (Bob) Roberts; sister in law, Phyllis Harris; nieces, Carolann (Barry) Loveless, Victoria (Tim) Feaver, Dawn (Sylvin) Rideout and Anita (Carls) Mestidor; nephews, James Boyd (Annette) Roberts and Neil (Katlyn) Roberts; as well as a circle of other great nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by his parents, George and Annie Harris; and brother, Louis Harris.
Visitation will take place at St. Saviour’s Anglican Church at Hermitage on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 2:00 pm from St. Saviour’s Anglican Church at Hermitage with Rev. Robynn Toal officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Sandyville.
