Obituary of Shanti Oulds
OULDS: Shanti (Rupnarine) –
A resident of Chatham, Shanti Oulds passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice with family at her side on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the age of 63.
Born in Trinidad, West Indies, Shanti was the daughter of Etwarie (Lutchman) Roopnarine and the late Roopnarine Ragoonanan.
Beloved wife of 44 years to Michael Oulds.
Loving mother of Charlene Wilcox (Chris) and Michelle Begin (Remi).
Proud Nana of Keegan Begin, Ella Wilcox, Emmett Begin and Tyler Wilcox.
Dear sister of Ramkissoon Roopnarine, Kumar Roopnarine, Yohan Roopnarine, Geeta Maharaj, Leila Balkaran, Robin Roopnarine, Pam Jagdeo, Sharmeela Roopnarine, Roshan Roopnarine, Seeta Ramlochan. Sister-in-law to Ted Oulds. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Shanti had a caring nature, and thrived in her position as an Activity Coordinator at Victoria Residence and Riverview Gardens. Her family was her world and she enjoyed her time spoiling her grandchildren. She had a flair for crocheting, crafts and picking out the perfect accessory.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 10:00 am until the Celebration of Shanti’s Life at 11:00 am with Rev. Susan Jolley officiating. Cremation to follow.
