Ruth MacKay (nee Beck)
1923-2019
Peacefully,
with her family by her side, the passing of Ruth MacKay in her 96th
year, at the Riverview Manor on April 3, 2019. Originally from Beach
Point, P.E.I., she was the beloved wife of the late Gordon M. MacKay
for 51 years. Also wife of the late Angus MacLean for a short time.
Daughter of Vere and Alfreda (White) Beck. Predeceased by only
daughter Ellen (Laurie) MacKay, grandson Laurie G. MacKay and two
brothers Louis (in infancy) and Elmer Beck. Survived by two sons,
Wallace (Sandra) and Louis (Josie) MacKay; grandchildren, Patty
(Earl)White, John (Royelle) MacKay, Kevin (Melissa MacKay, Richard
(Janis) MacKay and Devin (Ian) MacKay; ten great grandchildren, Alicia
and Hailee White, Billie, Julie, Menita, Kaylee, Dana-Lynn, Grant,
Meredith and Madeleine MacKay. Sisters June (the late Francis)
Casserly, Vera (Soloman) Taweel; brother-in-law, Lawrence (Lois)
MacLean; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Life long friends of
Vivian and (Austin deceased) Graham.
Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home, with
visiting on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 6 to 9 pm. Funeral Service to
be held at the Murray Harbour Church of Christ on Saturday, April 6,
at 3:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Maritime Christian
College would be appreciated.
