Obituary of Ruth Ann Dietrich
DIETRICH, Ruth Ann (nee Ponting) passed away at Juravinski Hospital surrounded by the love of her family on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 in her 68th year. Cherished wife of Bruce; devoted mother and mother-in-law of Kerry and Nick Colantonio of Toronto and Rachel and Egon van Romondt of Milton. Loving and proud grandmother of Olivia, Alessandra, Zachary and Ryan. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Gladys and Jim Drever of Mississauga, Lynda and Jerry Pankratz of Tillsonburg, Patricia and John Sutherland of Hamilton, Mike Roche of Oshawa, Yvonne Dietrich of Waterloo, Peggy Dietrich of Waterloo, Rose and Art Missere of Kitchener and Roy and Rose Dietrich of Kitchener. Ruth Ann will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews and her many friends. Predeceased by her parents Stan and Olive Ponting, sister Eleanor Roche and brothers-in-law Allan and Doug Dietrich. Ruth Ann was an avid reader and loved to spend time gardening. She was a member of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, and the Port Dover Lioness. Prior to her retirement she worked as a Education Assistant for the Catholic School Board for 25 years. A Memorial Mass will be held to honour Ruth Ann’s life on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11 am at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church (Lynn Park Rd) Port Dover. Father Lucio Couto celebrant. Inurnment will be held at a later date. For those wishing donations to Juravinski Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
