La célébration de
Rudolf Schadl
26 février 1924 –
23 avril 2019
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rudolf (Rudi) Schadl on April 23rd, 2019 at the impressive age of 95 years.
Beloved husband to the late Maria Schmidt, dear uncle to Ewald Fischl and John, Alfred and Richard Schmidt, and their families, and great friend to many.
Born in Hungary, Rudi immigrated to Montreal in 1952, eventually moving to Laval, which he considered home, with his late wife Maria (Mitzi). Until March this year, he lived in his house with his cat Moley, thanks primarily to amazing support from his friend Peter Geier. Rudi also enjoyed important support and community from Saint-Boniface German Catholic Church in Montreal. Rudi’s life was filled with travel, fishing, gardening, and caring for animals. It was a rich life—well lived. Resting at M.A. Blythe Bernier Funeral Home, 940 Ogilvy Avenue (corner Stuart), Park Extension on Monday, April 29th, 2019 from 2pm-6pm. A prayer service will take place at 2:30pm. Interment to following the next day to the Resurrection Cemetery in Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada at www.heartandstroke.ca would be appreciated.
