Sarson,
Robert William, 81 of New Glasgow “went to be with his
Lord” on April 4, 2019 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New
Glasgow.
Born in
New Glasgow he was a son of the late Joseph William and Annie
Florence(McKenzie)Sarson.
Robert
was an active, long time member of the Church of the Nazarene in
Trenton. In his younger years, Robert spent 14 years in
Toronto where he obtained his Sheet Metal Trade Upon
returning to New Glasgow, he worked at MacKay Heating and Plumbing,
and later at Scott Paper until his retirement. He enjoyed
walking, working out at the YMCA, looking forward to the noon hour
skate. Robert also looked forward to his morning coffee at
McDonald’s where he visited with his
friends.
He is
survived by his wife the former Hazel(Earle), daughters:
Crystal(Tim)Snell, Kim(Lorne)Rogers, Stacy(David)MacLeod,
grandchildren: Christopher(Krislyn), Jonathan, Chelsea(Clinton),
Travis; great-grandchildren: Arielle and Addilyn, a brother
Norrie.
He was
predeceased by his parents, brothers: Joseph and
Murray.
His
remains will rest in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow for
visiting from 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday. Funeral services will be
held 11am Tuesday from the Church of the Nazarene, Trenton with Pastor
Leon Teal presiding. A reception will follow the service in
the church hall. Cremation will take place. A family
committal service will take place at a later date in the Hillside
Cemetery.
Donations
in memory of Robert may be made to a charity of one’s
choice.
