Robert Fletcher Wright April 12th 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce that Robert Fletcher Wright has passed away on April 12, 2019 after a short battle with cancer. Robert was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He first moved to Castlegar, BC in 1965 to work on the Hugh Keenleyside Dam (Hi Arrow Dam). Castlegar became home when he worked on many projects in the area.
He is predeceased by his little dog Scooter in December. Scooter had always been at his side after the death of his wife Cecelia Catherine Wright (Timmons) in November 2010 and his daughter Tara Louise Wand in October 2013.
Robert is also predeceased by his parents Norman and Margaret Wright, his brother Graeme (Sammy) Wright, sisters Noreen Judge, Beverly MacKean and Margaret (Val) Wright.
He will be greatly missed by his daughters Rhonda (John) Jackman, Dana O’Brien (Jay Friedrich) and Carla (Mike) Boekestyn, his brother Donald (Carole), sisters Marion and Laurie, 7 grandchildren (he was always closest to his granddaughter Roxanna Wright Riley), 11 great grandchildren (with 2 more on the way) and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express thanks to the medical staff of KBRH 3rd floor, with a special thank you to Eric and Krystal for all their help during Dad’s final days.
As per Dad’s wishes there will not be a memorial service. Gwen Ziprick of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
As an expression of sympathy, your donations can be made to the Variety Club in Robert’s memory as this was one of Dad’s favourite charities.
You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Robert Fletcher Wright April 12th 2019..
