June 21, 1938-April 11, 2019
Passed away after a long, brave battle with cancer on April 11, 2019 at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband of Carol Ann (nee McTavish) for almost 58 years. Loving father of Jacqueline Barbesin-Marchuk and Phil (2014), Colleen Steiner and Gregg, and Ken Kellett and Nina Bell. Proud grandpa of Jordan (Sara), Josh (Deb), Danielle (Sean), Joe, Jacqueline, Natalie, and Kyle. Survived by sister Eileen McCloskey and Ray (2005). Brother in law of Bill McTavish, Neil and Sheila McTavish Missed by best friends Alan Barbesin, Marg and Larry Reaume, Judy and Ray Juneau, and Fred Blain. Dear uncle of Jim McCloskey, Maureen Valcke, Carol Sonnenburg, and Colin McTavish.
Bob was loved by so many people. He was a great guy who cared about people and lived for his family. A special thanks to the Hospice of Windsor, Doug from ParaMed, Alfred from Bayshore, Rachael Iannicello PA, and the cancer care physicians for all of your compassionate care. If you so desire, donations made to T2B, or to Hospice of Windsor would be appreciated by the family.
Visiting Monday 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm with Parish Prayers at 4:30 pm. On Tuesday, family and friends are invited to continue visiting at St. John Vianney Church (385 Dieppe St.) from 12:30 pm until time of Funeral Mass at 1:30 pm.
