Richard George Massey, 85, of Trail, BC passed away March 30, 2019. “Dick” Massey the son of Ella and George Massey, loving husband of Pearl Massey passed away at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital surround by his family.
He is preceded in death by his son Reggie Massey and is survived by his wife Pearl, and two daughters Debbie Massey and Laurel Massey Smith and her husband Ted Smith. He also is survived by grandchildren; Craig, Conrad, Crystal and Courtney and four great-grandchildren; Landon, Logan, Kaiden and Jade.
Dick worked as the highways foreman for the Trail area until his retirement in spring of 1988. Dick loved traveling with his wife of 64 years, spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids, gardening, curling and his church. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
Celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Gateway Christian Life Centre in Trail, BC. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
As an expression of sympathy, donations in Dick’s name may be made to Gateway Christian Life Centre at 8320 3B Hwy, Trail, BC, V1R 4W3.
