Alford, Richard Clayton (March 31, 1941 – April 11, 2019)
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Richard Clayton Alford, following a valiant battle with cancer on Thursday April 11, 2019 at the St. Joseph’s General Hospital in Elliot Lake. He left this world to be with the Lord. He leaves behind his beloved wife Patricia-Nolan Alford of 55 years. Beloved father to Christopher Richard Alford (Fiona) & Cherie Holmburg (Kevin). He is survived by his siblings Wayne Alford (Ardley) & Earl Alford (Eric). Grandfather to Daniel, Charmaine & Nicole Ryan, Lee Alford (Holly), Sabrina Alford & great grandfather to Dallas, Jagger-James & Owen. Clayton worked for Stelco for 40 years. He will be missed by cousins, nieces, nephews & friends. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 11, 2019 at 11 am from the New Life Pentecostal Assembly, 20 Esten Drive South, Elliot Lake, followed by a luncheon. Pastor Paul McGowan officiating. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
Patricia would like to thank Dr. Britton-Foster, Dr. Stirling & the nurses at St. Joseph’s General Hospital for the care & compassion provided to her husband throughout the course of his illness.
