Obituary for Raymond David Harvey
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend Raymond David Harvey in his 83rd year. Ray passed away peacefully at Carpenter Hospice on April 11, 2019. He is predeceased by his wife Eileen. Ray is survived by is daughter Brenda (Fonz), sons Michael (Lucy), Ron (Wanda, and Len (Susanne), and Eileen’s children Linda (Stan), David (Gabby), Lisa (Gladstone), and by his former spouse and friend Pat. Ray was a beloved brother to Marnell (predeceased by Bill), Sharon (Larry), Doug (Laurie), and Val (Bob).He will be missed by his grandchildren Derrik, Kirsten, Tyron, Laura, Lea, Chloe, Marcus, Sofia and Olivia. He will also be dearly missed by his good friend Marg and his extended family at Kasshabog Lake. For most of his life, Ray worked for the Hamilton-Niagara United Association Local #67 and was a member of both the Waterdown and Lakefield Legions. In previous years he was also in the Royal Canadian Navy, a drummer in the Porter Band and a member of the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry. Special thanks to Doug and Laurie for all the care, love and attention to Ray in his final time. The whole family is forever grateful. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to make a donation to a charity of your choice.
Gilligan has left the island with three beers, but will remain in our hearts forever
