Raymond Cecil Fizzard
October 09, 1933 – April 22, 2019

FIZZARD, Raymond Cecil – Age 85, passed away peacefully in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, Monday April 22, 2019. Born in Halifax he was the eldest son of the late Hubert & Helen(Gray) Fizzard. He had spent most of his life employed as a sheet metal fabricator which he enjoyed very much. He opted for early retirement with his wife Bernadette(Bernie) so they could really enjoy life together after the workforce and it would have been absolutely perfect if he had not lost his partner in life to Alzheimers eleven years ago. Never one to complain he always stated those precious years after retirement were the best of his life because he did get to travel and explore this beautiful world for a short time with the person who meant the most to him. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him and his kind, open spirit. He leaves behind two sons, Roland and Kevin, predeceased by his youngest son Raymond Jr.(Bud) five years previous. He was a proud grandfather of Corina, Kevin, Holly, Stephanie and Megan and beyond proud for his great grandson Hardy. He also leaves behind sisters Shirley, Gail, Lorraine, predeceased by brothers Hubert Jr., Donnie and Cyril. A service will be held in Saint John Vianney Church, 4 Beaverbank Road, Lower Sackville on Tuesday April 30, 2019 at 11:00am. All are welcome.
