Raymond Cayen 2019

CAYEN, Ray “Raymond”
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 10th, 2019 at Health Sciences North at the age of 75 years. Son of the late Telesphore and the late Bibiane Cayen (née Gauthier). He was the loving husband of 54 years to Pat Cayen (née Girard). Beloved father to Micheal Cayen (Christine). Cherished grandfather “Papa” to Riley and Keira Cayen. Brother to the late Roger Cayen (Ellen), the late Jeanne Leblanc (late Gerard), Bernard Cayen (Marielle), Jacqueline Whalen (Ron), the late Richard Cayen (late Evelyn) and Madeleine Currie (Gord). He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and lifelong friends. Ray was a retired Sudbury Regional police officer with 20 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren along with the many friends he and Pat made throughout the years. Ray loved fishing, golfing, travelling, cooking, reading and writing. He often entertained his friends and family with his humorous story telling, as well as his one line zingers, wit and sarcasm. He was well-versed in many subjects and loved to share his knowledge. Ray was a loveable man to all those who had the pleasure of meeting him. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Sudbury, 222 Lasalle Blvd., on Saturday, April 13th, 2019 from 7-9:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 14th, 2019 from 11:00-2:15 p.m. with a chapel service to follow at 2:30 p.m. Donations can be made by cheque or online to the Food Bank-Sudbury www.sudburyfoodbank.ca/donate/ or the SPCA – Sudbury sudbury.ontariospca.ca/sudbury-home.html
